The BSO Membership Scheme

Are you a member?  If not, may we introduce our membership scheme, which aims to offer our supporters increased value, more music and new insights into the life of our busy orchestra.  We hope that there is something for everyone.

Benefits include priority booking for subscribers in Exeter and Poole,  our Quarternote magazine four times a year and discounts on newly released BSO CDs. Higher level members can receive additional benefits which include free concert programmes, free tickets to selected Saturday Schools and other seasonal discounts and special offers. 

Our afternoon events give you the chance to meet and take tea with the Principal and guest conductors, as well as internationally renowned soloists. Our programme of fun-filled coach trips across the country include trips to some of the country’s finest theatres and concert halls, and groups of members sample the delights of other European cultures on a regular basis.

At the higher levels members can become more involved with the BSO - our chair patrons' support, for example, is linked to a specific position in the orchestra, and they have the opportunity to meet ‘their’ musicians on a regular basis as well as having their name printed in all BSO winter programmes.

Most importantly, membership at all levels raises over £100,000 a year for the orchestra, and we are grateful for all the support that this represents.

The annual cost of membership is: Individual £23, Joint £40, Bronze £60, Silver £150, Gold £300, Platinum £400 and Chair Patron £500 and above.  All levels save Individual covers two people at no extra cost.

By donating every year you help Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra plan for the future.  And we can claim Gift Aid on most of your donations, increasing the value to the orchestra by nearly a third.
